One Calculator, Four Questions

AircraftLoanCalculator.com has one calculator, on the homepage. It is not four products. The guides below tell you which inputs to change for the question you actually have. Nothing here pulls a live lender rate.

Affordability

Type a price you can document, a down payment you already have in cash, the sales-tax rate for the state where the aircraft will be based, and an APR from a written quote or a clearly labeled assumption. Read the payment next to insurance and an annual reserve, which the calculator does not invent for you. Guide: affordability inputs.

Refinance

The principal is the payoff, not the original price. Compare the new payment and the interest you still have to pay with what you have left on the current loan. A lower payment from a longer term can cost more interest. Guide: refinance inputs.

Lease versus loan

The calculator returns the cost of owning with debt. A lease quote is someone else’s residual and fee stack. Compare after-tax cash, not the two monthly numbers alone. Guide: lease versus loan inputs.

Two offers

Same price, same down payment, different rate, fees, term, or balloon. Enter each offer separately and compare total interest plus fees, not the coupon. Guide: offer comparison.

Questions buyers actually ask

Does the calculator store my numbers?

No. It runs in your browser. Export the schedule if you want a copy.

Why is my lender’s payment slightly different?

Different day-count, a fee rolled into principal, or a balloon definition. Match their inputs before you assume the calculator is wrong.
