What the numbers mean.

01 / METHOD

Start with the cash cushion

Cash available for closing is the purchase cash you enter less the cushion you want to preserve. The tool checks both this limit and the monthly budget.

02 / METHOD

Use a realistic operating worksheet

The affordability result inherits fuel, hangar, insurance, maintenance and reserve inputs from the ownership tab. Those costs can change the price ceiling substantially.

03 / METHOD

Treat the ceiling as a planning result

This calculator does not evaluate income, credit, debt ratios, collateral or lender requirements. A quoted purchase price and a lender conversation are separate steps.
